The picture had been in New York for about 2 years.Anywayz, it has come to London, the sole city where Nigeria really happens. I read the producers promised Femi Kuti to remove the show to Lagos sometimes.

am certain it will take to the NY broadway and about other US cities later. In any event I have engaged a total of tickets for different dates. It is reall hot.THere are dates that are already fully booked. So if you need to see the record in London you want to buy your seats fast. There are two people who play Fela.I favor the foremost one.Though I would try and see the former one too. An after show party in many Nigerian joints, serving Isi-Ewu with cold beer around London is likewise really good. Here people try to remember Fela and about of his antics. By the way which are your favourite Fela music/songs? I observe this job very hard because I like nearly all. Nowadays the next are my favorites:

  • Power Show
  • ODOO
  • Go Slow
  • Shakara
  • Lady
  • Before I jump like Monkey Give Me Banana
  • Water
  • Mr Grammarticulisation
  • Teacher dont teach me nonsense
I even like most of his highlife before he crossed over full to Afrobeat sometimes in 1969. Which are you favourite Fela?
I know, it has been in NYC as a point on broadway and I trust that it actually as a really long run out there. I was hoping that a travelling version would amount to the Washington DC area for maybe a month or two, but we shall see. i might just go up to NYC to see it. As regards best Fela songs, you said it, almost ALL are amazing, but my usual standouuts are;Wata no get enemy: The intro keyboard and the horn solos on this just scattar my mind without fail every time! And so the lyrics are a real lesson, even if wata kill your child, na wata you go use!Suffering and Smiling: I have never forgotten this strain as I was a new kid in Lagos in those days going to TBS from Yaba on those 49 sitting and 99 standing packed like sandines LSMTA red buses! of No Nation: The track literally builds as you mind to it. It is like being on a musical journey. This is how IBB and Buhari are correctly discribed, Aminals in human skin! Oh yes, ITT, it always tickles me when I see him call Obasanjo and Abiola international thief thief! One common matter in those songs are the heavy instrumentals within the songs and the solo's of the instruments. Fact is that man's music was simply AMAZING!!!!
