NRA-ILA : The National Rifle Association's NRA Life of Duty .

FAIRFAX, VAThe National Rifle Associations (NRA) new initiative, NRA Life of Duty presented by Brownells, proudly announces its partnership with the AR15.com/Rockcastle Pro-Am 3-Gun Championship, the largest 3-gun event in the United States. The match, presented by Brownells, Sinclair, Policestore.com and Hornady, takes place August 26-28, 2011 at Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City, Kentucky.

Five hundred competitors, split equally between professionals and amateurs, will participate.

Money raised throughout the weekend will gain the Only Survivor and Labor Force Dagger foundations. Pete Brownell, President of Brownells, the worlds largest provider of firearms accessories, gun parts, gunsmithing tools and ammunition will be on hand to give a stop to these charity organizations on behalf of NRA Life of Duty.

There are no greater Americans than those who risk life and limb every day for our freedom. NRA is broken to be a piece of this case that supports families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice and wounded warriors, as good as their families, through noble organizations such as the Sole Survivor and Task Force Dagger foundations, said Wayne LaPierre, executive vice president of the National Rifle Association. The 4 million members of the NRA are really thankful to every man and womanhood in uniform for their help and sacrifice.

While the AR15.com/Rockcastle 3-Gun Championship features separate shooting competitions for professionals and amateurs, the NRA Life of Duty Challenge will pair them together and tally their scores throughout the weekend to shape the Pro-Am champion. The dish of this effect is we are teaming up professional shooters with amateurs, folks that are new to the shooting sports, in this inaugural NRA Life of Duty Challenge, Nick Noble, CEO of Rockcastle Shooting Center, added.

NRA Life of Duty/Brownells will also study a five-man team consisting of Brownells Law Enforcement General Director and other FBI Special Agent Steve Denny; Brownells Training Program Manager and former Marine Major and Aviator Duane Liptak; former Sergeant First Class Greg Stube; Lieutenant Colonel James H. Nance; and old Master Sergeant George Harris to enter in the Shooting Industry Masters on July 22-23, which furthers both NRA Life of Dutys and Brownells commitment to the shooting sports community.
