writing music.

Novelling Day Two and I`m starting to truly appreciate the grandness of a proper soundtrack. It might look a little detail but concluded the years countless stories of mine have been inspired by music.

There isn`t any set criteria for good writing music. I incline to go for catchy songs, not too slow, with a lot of emotional punch. Of form it varies depending on what I want to achieve.

A few that have worked for me in the past include

Tegan & Sara - So Jealous;

Metric - Black Sheep;

Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts;

Amanda Palmer - Astronaut;

The Airborne Toxic Event - All I Always Wanted;

Regina Spektor - Ghost of a Corporate Future;

etc.

Good albums are harder to find, naturally, because an album will go through a lot of moods. I`ve heard a lot of people wish to leave where they are and get locked into typing as loyal as they can, and I used to raise this technique myself. I used to mind to Mindless Self-Indulgence`s If, a lot of strange German techno I don`t remember `cause I don`t use my Napster anymore, My Chemical Romance`s Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, and Metric`s Fantasies.

Other, not-as-consistently-fast albums that hold me wishing to play hard include Say Anything`s _Is A Real Boy(enough rage and push and stream-of-consciousness-style outpouring that you can`t Help but feel motivated), Tegan & Sara`s The Con (something around the electronic sound, their vocal harmonies, hooks, & staccato style on this album_ also, pretty intense emotionally, too), The National`s High Violet(already gushed about excessively); Marina & The Diamonds` The Family Jewelsand Lady GaGa`s The Fame(both silly & fun, not too distracting).

Today is decidedly a Tegan & Sara day, and I`m enjoying it.

If you write, what do you like listening to? What would you recommend?
